Balance
An even distribution of weight, mental or emotional stability, harmonious proportion, or a financial remainder.
I want to speak on the emotional part of balance.
We spend almost all our time in life balancing other people's problems or health issues, taking care of children or our parents without realizing we're out of balance.
I speak for myself when I say I try to balance my problems but somehow become the sounding board of others' problems.
For the most part, I am a people person and love meeting and engaging with others. Most people tell me that I am easy to talk to.
For reasons I can't explain, I begin to take on other people's things, and it throws me off balance.
When you spend so much time taking care of things and burdens that are not yours, it will take its toll on you.
Balance is to keep you upright, but it is not meant for you to lean from side to side in someone else's boat.
Balance means stand your ground and keep moving in the direction meant for your life.
Stop caring about people's pain and anger like you are meant to fix the balance in their lives.
You are meant to give a helping hand; you are not meant to be the balance that holds them in place.
Metaphorically, we press forward because most of the time we feel the need to fix people instead of working on ourselves.
Keep yourself balanced so you can be better than your past.
