Breathe
To inhale and exhale air(respire), live pause for rest, or allow air to pass through, such as fabric or wine. Also means to whisper, express, or instill a quality (eg, breathe life into)
I am just writing this after my vacation last week to give myself time to fully understand both definitions of this word.
I had not been on vacation in four years for a lot of reasons, if I'm being completely honest. Mostly, it was out of grief because I lost both my Aunt and my Son's father a year apart; it felt wrong to go on vacation in the middle of my grief.
I needed to get away to just breathe and be present in the moment.
Going to the New Orleans /Hammond area was just what I needed to breathe life back into myself. I met some very interesting and wonderful people during my stay.
I learned that there is nothing wrong with being alone just to breathe.
So many of us just work and work and do not take the time to just relax and breathe.
I want my readers to know that if you have been putting off a vacation, please make plans to go somewhere, if it's only for a few days, just to breathe.
It is alright to just breathe!!
