Celebration
The action of making one's pleasure at an important event or occasion by engaging in an enjoyable, typically social activity.
I'm about to explain my thoughts on this word.
Society has brainwashed us into believing
We have to spend large amounts of money to celebrate anything from birthdays, weddings, and even baby showers.
The truth is, a celebration is just that: a celebration is the joy of being present in the moment.
To enjoy a birthday or a wedding is to be present with those we love and share memories, past and present.
Celebration doesn't have to mean giving gifts or even receiving them.
To celebrate another year around the sun is a blessing in and of itself.
Struggling to give expensive gifts that no one will remember the next year is, to me, a waste of time and energy.
The things that stick with us most when we gather to have a celebration are the unconditional love and the smiles on a loved one's face, just by being present in that exact moment.
We as people put too much stress on ourselves to make others happy with gifts.
Celebration is something that you have to be present with time and not things.
Our family and friends love us and will help us celebrate anything with just time and love.
