Promise Broken
A commitment or assurance that someone made but was not fulfilled.
It occurs when the person fails to do what they said they would do, which can lead to feelings of disappointment, betrayal, or loss of trust.
Oftentimes in life, we make promises to those we love with every intention of keeping them, but what happens when we break a promise?
What causes promises to be broken?
Let's break it down. Many things can cause us to break a promise for various reasons, including the lack of foresight, a change in circumstances, or failure of judgment.
I have learned that even when you love someone, you can break a promise, even when you're going through something.
At the end of the day, we are human, and we fall short.
Trust that the promise broken was not intentional, and you can make good on the promise when you learn it's alright to make a mistake.
Life gives us lessons daily. Remember to learn from those lessons, even those of broken promises.
