Trauma
Is the deep, lasting emotional or physical injury?
It stems from highly distressing, life-threatening, or overwhelming essentials trauma related terms.
I thought about this all night, and to be honest, it is a great way to celebrate my birthday today.
We go through our lives experiencing some kind of trauma.
Soldiers of war experience PTSD trauma, and some others may experience the same trauma but from a different experience.
I have had my share of trauma through childhood and sexual trauma.
Because we are taught not to acknowledge that we live with it and let it grow into something that can eat at us throughout our lives if we don't address it through therapy or other means.
I have watched both family and friends deal with their trauma by using other substances to cope with the trauma, but here is the thing about that: when you come down from whatever high the trauma remains, and that is because you haven't dealt with the root of the trauma.
That is why most of our trauma still exists.
We do things to numb the pain of it, not deal with the trauma itself, or we start to run from it.
I speak from my battle with my own trauma, and my advice is to deal with your trauma head-on, don't let others rewrite your story of trauma, and begin to heal from it by getting help for it!!
Nothing is worse than holding on to trauma because you're too afraid to let it go.
