So many times in life we may feel that we are in our own prison.
this poem was written for a friend of mine who was in prison, yet in my own way it was for me as well because I had created a prison for myself mentally and physically, I hope this reaches someone going through it.
Prison blues
My body and feet are heavy from wearing these prison blues.
never escape the prison cell.
The system setup to see us fail.
Prison blues
Shackled bond by way of slavery.
Prison blues
How many brothers, fathers, and sons?
Prison blues
have haunting thoughts of suicide.
Never indeed be justified in whatever the crime.
prison blues
My God break us from this hurt, pain, and confusion.
