Depression (It's a real thing.)
Feelings of severe despondency or dejection, self-doubt creeps in, and that swiftly turns into depression.

I feel like this subject can't be discussed enough with all that is going.

I have talked about my menopausal depression and the fact that I didn't understand what was happening to me.

M was suffering from depression, and even though I tried to help him through it, by the time he got to me, it was too late.

We are sometimes programmed to believe that depression is not real or that it will magically go away.

M was taught this through out his life from a young age, and that type of thinking was carried over into his adult life.

The high expectations that were placed on him are what, to me, made him give up on life.

Depression is not something that just goes away; it must be addressed, and then you get some type of therapy to help you move forward from it.

M was told by his mother that we don't need others in our business; we can deal with it on our own.

That aspect of thinking is why so many of us go through things in life without seeking the proper help to help us recover from what we are dealing with in life and our minds.

I want those of us who feel we can deal with our depression to understand we can not deal with our mental health alone.

Reach out to someone and let the burden of depression go before you allow it to take over and you don't ever give up!
