I didn't know my own strength

I didn't know my own strength, so I crashed down, tumbled, but didn't crumble.

I got through all the pain, and I didn't know my own strength.

These are the words of a Whitney Houston song that hit me hard a few days ago.

Listening to the song made me realize how much this song was my life for the last two years.

Through the loss of two very important people to me.

I didn't know my own strength throughout the hurt, pain, and grief from they're absence.

I struggle every day without being able to call them or just spend time with them anymore.

I know my Auntie and M are watching over me, yet I have to keep taking the steps to heal both my heart and mind.

Knowing that my faith and the strength from both of them are helping me move into what God has been preparing me for with their loss, I have to keep moving to share my stories of courage and strength on how to be what they both knew I would be.

Strength is something we sometimes don't believe we even have.

Faith is the key to holding on to the strength that the heavens send down to us.

I didn't know my own strength. I crashed down, I tumbled, but I didn't fall.

I will do what needs to be done to make my Auntie and M proud of me.
