Fight or Flight

The body's physiological or psychological response to danger.

It's a survival mechanism that helps people and other mammals to react to life-threatening situations.

Today marks two months since I found M in his car gone from this world and each day has been a fight or flight struggle because I have to walk past where his car was parked. I have had a panic attack and an anxiety attack walking past.

To try and get past the fight or flight mindset I have made myself walk past as a form of shock therapy to help me get over the loss.

Some days it works and some days it doesn't I just barely get by not crying and looking over where his car was parked.

We use fight or flight to protect ourselves from danger but how do we fight the thought of fight or flight from our subconscious mind to help us overcome trauma?

I struggle every day yet I will keep moving forward to conquer this battle of fight or flight.

We are stronger than what we've been through.
