Perception (What we see)
The ability to see, hear, or become aware of something through the senses.
How often have we judged someone or something based on our perception?
I have spent a few days wondering how we can do this without thinking it may be taken the wrong way. We may perceive a person close to us as alright because of the perception we see from the outside, not understanding what that person is probably battling with on the inside.
This subject has been on my heart for a day or two because, in my mind, I'm trying to figure out if I was perceiving M to be coping with his depression and just not seeing that he was still struggling because of the perception of the problem in general.
We sometimes perceive things to be fine because, on the outside, it look fine, yet the battle is within.
Perception can sometimes be a double-edged sword if we're not sure what we're truly meant to see.
The point of this post is to make us think and not just perceive things to be fine because of their appearance on the outside.
Keep your eyes open, but keep your heart aware of the struggle of a loved one or friend; you don't truly know the inner struggle from looking from the outside.
Many times, perception can be deceiving.
Pay attention at all times!!
