Grateful (A Poem)
For every day you were in my life.
I am grateful
For every tear, you wiped from my eyes.
I am grateful
You were there for me when I was lost and alone.
You loved me when I was right or wrong.
Your advice and wisdom helped me grow.
Proud of every moment and hour we spent talking on the phone, or our weekly visits.
I am grateful to God for you being my Aunt, big sister, and second mother.
I am grateful for every moment I had with you in my life.
And even though this hurts more than words can express.
Grateful for the life you lived.
I love you Auntie Rest in Paradise.
