Judge and Jury
The bible says " Judge not yet Ye be Judged".
The teachers were in the classroom with the children when this young woman came into the class to observe the teacher in the class, she was quietly watching but what I noticed was how judgemental we as human beings can be.
I say that I witnessed something at my job today that made this pop up in my head. There were two women coming in for an interview, I work at a daycare and one of the women was maybe around my age or younger, and the other woman was a young transgender woman maybe in her twenties.
After the two women left there was talk about the young transgender woman. she seemed nice enough but we tend to pass judgment on someone and their lifestyle before we get to know them.
This is why some many lives are in the closet or too afraid to be who they are because we as humans tend to be judge and jury when we ourselves have skeletons in our closets.
I was upset because I couldn't believe that these women were talking about this young lady like she was some kind of plague.
We need to stop being so damn negative when it comes to others and their life outside of where they work.
Judging someone from the outside is so very wrong in so many ways I can't count them all.
We have no right to play judge and jury in anyone's life ever straight or gay.
I have several transgender friends and a lot of gay friends and family members and not once have I ever judged them for who they are or who they love.
Judging a book by its cover before you have a chance to open and read is pretty much an insult to the author of the book, so why in the world would we do it to someone who may be different than you or me?
Soical media and society as a whole has made it that much harder for people to just be out and open without fear of some kind of negative judgment.
I must say that I was glad I walked away because I know how it feels to be judged for being different and not following the crowd.
I want people to stop and think before they make a negative comment about someone because while you're pointing the finger at that person, take a good look and see how many fingers are pointing back at you.
